The SABIS® Educational Summer Camp is a special camp that combines learning and cultural enrichment with enjoyable on- and off-campus activities in the heart of the beautiful and tranquil English countryside. The boarding camp opens its doors every summer and offers a two-week and a four-week session, both of which are tailored to add educational and cultural value to all who attend.

Days at the 2018 SABIS® Educational Summer Camp at AHS were filled with learning and fun. In the mornings, students benefitted from academic classes that included science, languages, and SAT preparatory courses. This year, students also enjoyed the opportunity to enroll in new courses including coding, film-making, public speaking, and a university orientation program.

“The university orientation program was a great experience. I saw two of the best universities in the U.K. while I was there and now I would really consider applying to the U.K.”
– Aviral Alhotra, Ruwais Private School, U.A.E.

Outside the classroom, the summer camp includes an array of activities and trips. On campus, the campers participated in numerous sports activities and clubs such as basketball, soccer, tennis, swimming, badminton, indoor hockey, music, and art.  Off-campus activities included day trips, hiking, and horseback riding. The campers did it all from giant swings, rafting, and paintball to trips to Stonehenge, Buckingham Palace, the Museum of Natural History in London, Hyde Park, the Roman Baths, and much more!

For many students, the summer camp gave them their first experience living away from home and the chance to develop a sense of independence and responsibility. The campers enjoyed comfortable and safe accommodation throughout their stay. The girls and boys were hosted in separate, supervised dormitories in different buildings on campus and enjoyed healthy and well-balanced meals daily.

“It was the best adventure of my life. I visited the most beautiful historical places. It was amazing to meet other campers from different countries. I really wish I could do everything all over again!”
– Emiliya Ismayilzada, ISC-Dubai, U.A.E.

We cannot think of a better way of getting around!

The combination of experiencing their first taste of independence, bonding with fellow campers, participating in new and exciting activities, and discovering a new culture was the perfect recipe for a memorable summer adventure that made a resounding impact on their lives.

“Traveling alone to join the camp was easier than I expected it would be. I learned to do things myself and by meeting new students, I learned how to work in a team. I considered my time at the summer camp as a small glimpse of how the future could look like.”
– Emmanuel Kamau Igathe, non-SABIS® student from Nairobi, Kenya

Every year, the SABIS® Educational Summer Camp offers students aged 10 to 18 a motivating, inspiring, and exciting opportunity to learn, grow, and shine. The camp accepts students from non-SABIS® schools as well, so if you would like to learn more, follow the SABIS® Educational Summer Camp on Facebook or visit educationalsummercamp.sabis.net.
