As part of a global community, SABIS^® students are given unparalleled opportunities to participate in numerous regional and international events that take place throughout the year, allowing them to develop important life skills, learn about new cultures, and make new friends. One such example is the Student Life Training Conference (SLTC) that takes place every summer.

This year’s SLTC took place in Athens, Greece, gathering 100 student prefects and 29 Student Life Coordinators from 34 SABIS^® schools around the world. The conference agenda was designed to equip students with the necessary knowledge and skills they need to  improve the SLO in their home schools and positively impact the lives of others. Hot topics included, among others, how to take a proactive approach to ensuring fellow students succeed academically as well as brainstorming sessions on key SLO issues and possible solutions.  Upon their return home, participants are tasked with sharing all their acquired knowledge and spreading it throughout their schools.
