As part of a global community, SABIS^® students are given unparalleled opportunities to participate in numerous regional and international events and camps that take place throughout the year, allowing them to develop important life skills, learn about new cultures, and make new friends.

These are just a few of the major events and camps that our students will be participating in over the next few months, starting with the SABIS^® STEAM competition that kicks off in February. Students will be competing in a range of STEAM-related categories including Robotics Joystick, Robotics Autonomous, Electronics, and 3D Printing.

Staying in the STEAM theme, The International School of Choueifat – Muscat in Oman will be hosting the prestigious Muscat VEX Competition Event, a part of the global VEX competition in robotics. This event is organized in collaboration with the Ministry of Higher Education Innovation and Research Department and is expected to draw participation from around 9 schools.

VEX Robotics competition prepares students to become future innovators in STEM subject areas and pursue STEM-related careers.

Over the spring, our students will also be participating in SABIS^® STARS. The much-anticipated event will be bringing together students from SABIS^® schools in 18 countries to compete in categories such as public speaking, poetry recital, photography, debate, and science fair, among others. We also anticipate particular interest in the “Our World - Our Concern” category that will be built around the COP28 climate summit that took place in the U.A.E. this year.

Rounding off the year is the annual SABIS^® Educational Summer Camp that takes place in Bath, England.  

Hosted at the Ashwicke Hall campus, eight miles from the renowned world heritage City of Bath in the U.K., children who join the camp will have the opportunity to enhance their learning and social skills in one of Britain’s most beautiful and exciting locations through our tailored programs suited for students between the ages of 10-18. Unlike other events that are exclusively for SABIS^® students, the SABIS^® Educational Summer Camp at Ashwicke Hall also welcomes non-SABIS^® students who are recommended by our school community.
