After a three-year hiatus due to the disruptions caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, the Regional Academic Conferences finally resumed in-person. Regional academic conferences are organized yearly by the SABIS® Academic Development Division to update the SABIS® Regional Centers, located in the U.S., the Gulf, Egypt, and the Levant region, on SABIS® academic and curriculum developments as well as on the latest SABIS® products and services.
The first regional conference to have taken place was for the U.A.E. Regional Center on May 4 & 5, followed by the Levant Region on May 9 (pictured above), and finally the Cairo Region on May 19 & 20. Combined, the conferences brought together 110 regional and school heads of departments and school administrators from 20 SABIS® schools for an agenda that included sessions on curriculum reviews, external exam preparation, and updated classroom and e-learning technology. In addition, a full-day workshop was dedicated for the three Military High Schools (MHS) in the U.A.E. that are members of the global SABIS® Network.
Through annual regional academic conferences, the organization can help ensure success across borders and equip students with the knowledge and skills they need to succeed in college and life.
