Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, many graduation ceremonies were postponed until late summer. This did not stop SABIS® schools from organizing very special, albeit belated, events for their graduating seniors!
In the U.A.E., The International School of Choueifat – Dubai held their ceremony at the spectacular Dubai Opera on July 28th.
Other SABIS® schools in the U.A.E, including The International School of Choueifat – Ras al Khaimah, The International School of Choueifat – Sharjah, The International School of Choueifat – Khalifa City, The International School of Choueifat – Al Ain, The International School of Choueifat in Doha, Qatar, and AbdulAziz International School in Saudi Arabia opted for a virtual graduation ceremony with graduates and their families participating in their first-ever online event!

At The International School of Choueifat – Abu Dhabi, students were divided into groups of ten and given a date and time to attend school wearing their Graduation regalia, in order to collect a certificate, take video footage and photographs. The theater was prepared in order to respect social distancing guidelines, chairs were laid out with each graduate’s certificate placed on top. The scheduling allowed 30 minutes between each group for the theater to be disinfected and sanitized. All footage was then edited and played live during the virtual ceremony.
As for graduates from The International School of Choueifat – DIP, they celebrated with a drive-thru’ event and The International School of Choueifat – Manama in Bahrain held a Graduation Ceremony on wheels!
