SABIS® STEAM Competition
The 2026 SABIS® STEAM Competition hosted at SABIS® International School – Yas Island in the U.A.E. brought together over 500 students from 21 schools across 9 countries for the largest STEAM gathering in the SABIS® Network to date. What began as a robotics-only event in 2022 has evolved into a full regional competition, now featuring seven diverse categories, including Robotics, Drone, Electric Car, 3D Printing, Electronics, Academics, and Fast Thinking.
Across the arenas, students tackled challenges with focus and creativity. Robots navigated complex missions, drones executed precision flights, circuits came to life, and 3D printers turned concepts into prototypes. Under time pressure, teams collaborated, problem‑solved, and refined their designs—showing the real value of applied STEAM learning.
This year’s competition underscored the emergence of Generation Innovate: students who approach challenges with curiosity, adaptability, and purpose. SABIS® continues to nurture these qualities through STEAM clubs, specialized courses, and experiential learning opportunities that prepare students not only to understand the world, but to shape it.

Family Fun Days & Carnivals
Across the SABIS® Network, carnivals and family fun days continue to bring school communities to life. These vibrant events feature games, performances, food stalls, and interactive activities that reflect each school’s unique spirit while sharing a common purpose: strengthening the connection between families and schools.
By opening their campuses in a warm, festive setting, schools create engaging environments where students, parents, and staff come together and build meaningful connections. These gatherings foster a welcoming atmosphere in which families feel valued, involved, and closely connected to the school community.
More than just moments of enjoyment, carnivals and family fun days reinforce a strong sense of community and belonging, highlighting the role of SABIS® schools as dynamic environments where students’ academic and personal growth are supported through collaboration and shared experiences.
