October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, marked by international health campaigns to increase awareness of the disease, educate people about methods of prevention and early detection, and to raise money to support research. The color pink and the pink ribbon have become the major international symbol and emblem of support.

In line with global efforts, the SABIS Student Life Organization^® (SLO^®) in SABIS^® schools around the world joined the fight. By organizing bake sales, drives to sell pink t-shirts, lemonade, and bracelets, and distributing pink ribbons, students successfully raised awareness and funds for local charities.
